YUVAJANA SAKHYAM
“Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.”
Ephesians 3:17–18
The Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam was created with a view to helping the young people of the Mar Thoma Church to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior; to bear witness to His saving power; to train in worship and the fellowship of the Christian life; to participate in the mission of the Church; to have faith in Christian values and to organize and conduct camps, meetings, discussions to increase the knowledge and experience of youth in the Holy Bible, church’s faith and practice.
From its inception in the year 1933 by a resolution of the Sabha Prathinidhi Mandalam, Sakhyam has been instrumental in all the activities of the church. Branches of the Sakhyam were set up in the Parishes with a four-fold program of worship, study, witness, and service.
