Week#13 – LEARN TO HATE SIN AND LOVE HOLINESS, AND THE FEAR OF THE LORD.

  • Psalm 119:9,11 How can a young man cleanse his ways? By taking heed according to your word. Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you.
  • Ephesians 1:4 Even before the creation of the world He chose us to be Holy and blameless.
  • 1 Peter 1:16  It is written, “Be Holy because I am Holy”
  • Psalm 51:10  “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me”
  • Romans 16:19 Be wise about what is good and innocent about what is evil.
  • Proverbs 8:13 “To fear the Lord is to hate evil: I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior, and perverse speech.”
  • Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the Lord is the fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death.
  • Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure – if anything is excellent or praise worthy – think about such things.

Heavenly Father, we pray that You will write your word on the hearts of our children, so that they will choose the obedience of hating sin and loving your holiness. Work in their lives the holy fear of God and His righteousness. Help them to desire things that please you. Create in them a pure heart. Give them the grace to know what is good and to keep away from evil. As the days pass, grant us your serenity. We give thanks for Your presence. Beyond our inadequacy is Your adequacy. keep our eyes open to Your presence, the sinful nature forgiven and made Holy. To You be all glory and honor forever and ever. Amen

Week #14 – Let no unwholesome talk come out of their mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up.

Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

Proverbs 23:16 Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.

Ephesians 4:25.  “Each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body”

Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

1 Peter 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.

Matthew 12:35 For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.  The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

Colossians 4:6: Let your conversation always be full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

James 3:6 The tongue is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, and sets the whole course of his life on fire.

Heavenly Father, We pray that my children will speak wholesome and llife-giving words. Because death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat it’s fruit. You said that your innermost being will rejoice when their lips speak the right things. That they will refrain their tongue from evil and keep their lips from speaking deceit. So that they can enjoy good days and live long lives upon earth. They will acknowledge every good thing which is in them in Christ Jesus and hold fast the form of sound words.

Week#15 – FOR CHILDREN’S PROTECTION

Psalm 91:7, 9-14 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.  If you make the Most High your dwelling- even the Lord, who is my refuge – then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.  For He will command His angel concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.  You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; Because he loves me says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.”

Isaiah 43:1b-2 “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name, you are mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Psalm 3:3-5 “But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain.  I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the Lord sustains me.”

Psalm 121:7-8. “The Lord will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life;  the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

Heavenly Father we commit our children in your hand. They are set apart for you and so they will stay so. Lord, you be with them in all circumstances. Let them have the assurance that no weapon forged against them will prevail. Help them to be brave, cheerful, and wise when it is hard to.  Help them always acknowledge your presence as “Emmanuel”. Give them Your assurance to be with them according to the promise verses. In Jesus’ name, we pray Amen.

Matthew 6:31-33. Do not worry saying, “What shall we eat, drink, and wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well”

Matthew 10:28. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but can not kill the soul.  Rather be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 10:29. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of the Heavenly Father.   And even the very numbers of your hairs are all numbered.  So don’t be afraid.

1 peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Father, as we confess the verses over our children, let your word bring to pass the things that you desire for your children. Lord, we know that you are so near to them.  Let the children not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petitions, with thanksgiving, present their requests to God and let the peace of God, which transcends all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Lord, you are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine and you will meet all their needs according to your glorious riches in Christ Jesus.  Let them fully trust in you. We don’t need to worry about anything because we know that in all things you work for the good of those who love you, who have been called according to your purpose.  You have redeemed them, you have summoned them by name and they belong to you.  Nothing will happen to them without the will of our heavenly Father. Anoint them with your Holy Spirit. All glory and honor to your name.  In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
