  • 1Corinthians 3:11-12. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now, we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
  • Ephesians 4:13-15.  It was He who gave some to be apostles, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.   Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth, blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.  Instead, Speaking the truth in love we will in all things, grow up into Him, who is the head that is Christ.

That they will continue to be built up with your wisdom, favor, truth, love, faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, mutual affection, and thankfulness. Even in the midst of spiritual darkness, the boy Samuel could continue to grow in stature and in favor with the Lord and men.  Noah lived in a corrupted world, but he was able to live a righteous and blameless life and he walked with God. Thus Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Just like Noah and Samuel, our children are also living in a corrupted world, help them to be different from this world and help them continue to grow in Your grace and lead a holy, righteous, and blameless life. Let them not be carried away by the evil forces of this world, but grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. Help them to be disciplined so that they can find a personal quiet time every day with You and help them use every opportunity that they get to hear the word of God so that they can grow in the knowledge of the son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Let them know the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and earnestly seek heavenly wisdom, which is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, impartial, and pure. Help them hear the word and obey it and become wise. Help them do all their deeds in humility that comes from wisdom and lead a good life.  Because Daniel and His friends stood firm on God’s words, He gave them knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning.  In every matter of wisdom and understanding, the king found them ten times better than all others.  O Lord, Let them turn their eyes away from earthly standards and rejoice in Yours. Let them have the humility of a learner.  Give them the clarity of thought that they need and a courageous spirit to move forward hopefully according to the promise verses. In Jesus’ name, we pray.  Amen
